Plumbing & Gas Tutor/Assessor

The School of Engineering & Construction at Carshalton College are seeking a Plumbing & Gas Tutor/Assessor to train and assess students on College programmes, and in particular, to contribute to the Gas Centre curriculum in its work with delivering and assessing of NVQ's, technical certificates and apprenticeships. You will also deliver and assess on a wide range of Plumbing programmes.

We're looking for someone who has demonstrable experience of the Plumbing / Gas industry and who has current knowledge of industry practice and techniques, specifically relevant to Gas. With an understanding of full cost Gas Centre provision, you will have previous experience of teaching, training, and assessing NVQ's in Plumbing, Gas and full cost Gas Centre, and have knowledge of the NVQ framework/standards and code of practice for assessing he Apprentice framework or standards in the Gas industry. We also ask that you hold a TAQA Assessor Award and continue to practice to these standards.

The salary will include a £10,000 uplift if the post holder holds a Level 3 qualification in Advanced Plumbing (or equivalent), is Gas Safe registered and holds the following Gas qualifications; CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, DAH1, HTR1, MET1, Water Regulations, Unvented Certificate.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
