MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Financial Accountant for a large local business, based in Ipswich. As a Financial Accountant you will be a part of a team responsible for financial compliance, financial risk management and financial controls across the group. This role is well suited to a detail-oriented individual that can work off their own initiative and support the wider team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review monthly bad debt provision
- Review monthly debtors & creditors reporting in line with deadlines
- VAT returns
- Assist in the production of statutory accounts
- Preparation for year-end audit
- Contribute to finance projects
- Tax compliance and associated reporting
- Finalise month end reporting
- Corporation tax payments and review analysis working papers
- Work with the team to ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial records
- Managing a small team
- Ad hoc duties as required
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Qualified Accountant is preferred but Qualified by Experience will be considered
- Experience working in a group of companies
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Strong Excel Skills
- Experience with Tax, including VAT returns
