Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physical Education to join a vibrant secondary school in Bradford. We are seeking an experienced professional to inspire and motivate students, helping them to achieve their full potential in both physical fitness and personal development. This role is set to commence in September 2024.

As a PE Teacher, you will be a key member of the school's dynamic team, dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience. Your passion for physical education and commitment to student success will help shape a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and interests.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate.
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular sports activities, competitions, and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and promote a holistic approach to student development.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current PE practices, health and safety regulations, and educational trends.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a PE Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and a passion for promoting physical education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • A commitment to professional development and a desire to stay abreast of educational best practices.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and DBS clearance.
