Job Title: Ecologist
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Location: Lincolnshire
We are looking for an Ecologist to join an independent planning and architecture consultancy in Lincolnshire. This is a unique position for a sole ecologist, with the view to grow a new Ecology team within the company. You can expect a range of excellent benefits too, including remote working, flexible working hours, monthly team lunches and team-building events, regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions, early finish on Fridays and additional holiday allowance to recognise long service.
As an Ecologist, your duties will include but aren't limited to producing PRAs, Emergence/Re-Emergence Surveys, PEAs, BNG baseline surveys, and various protected species surveys to support their growing residential planning pipeline. This position is well suited to Ecologist with a permanent or self-employed background who are interested in a change of environment from usual consultancy work.
As an Ecologist in this position you will need:
- Extensive understanding of relevant UK and EU protected species legislation
- Be confident quoting and producing BNG Assessments independently
- Hold relevant protected species licences
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to your own car
- Be willing to both work remotely and travel to sites across the UK
- Experience as a Senior or Principal level Ecologist as well as an understanding of UK planning processes and legislation is highly desirable.
- Hold a degree in a relevant subject
