Unstructured Data Business Analyst - £475/day outside IR35 - London
Overview:
We are looking for a delivery-focused Unstructured Data Management Business Analyst to join our customer who are a global media organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring that unstructured data projects and initiatives, particularly those involving Azure File Shares and M365, are executed effectively and meet the business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to translate data management requirements into actionable plans, oversee the delivery of unstructured data solutions, and ensure that all projects are completed on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis with a focus on unstructured data management, coupled with a proven ability to drive project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Execution:

Lead the delivery of unstructured data management projects by coordinating with IT, data management, and business teams to ensure timely and successful implementation.

Define and manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and data management requirements.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and work proactively to resolve them, ensuring projects stay on track.

Business Requirements & Solution Design:

Gather and document detailed business requirements by engaging with stakeholders to understand their unstructured data management needs and objectives.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with data management teams to design appropriate solutions.

Support the development and delivery of unstructured data solutions that align with business strategies and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.

Facilitate communication between business units, IT, and data management teams to ensure that everyone is aligned on project goals and timelines.

Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, outcomes, and any deviations from the plan.
Capabilities and Experience:

Education & Certification:
-
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or data management certifications are a plus.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on unstructured data management and project delivery.

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex unstructured data projects on time and within scope.

Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including IT, data management, and business units, to deliver data solutions.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong project management and organisational skills with a focus on delivery and execution.

Proficiency in project management and business analysis tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, process modelling software).

Familiarity with Azure File Shares, M365, and other unstructured data management technologies.
