Hays Education are working with schools and education settings in Nottinghamshire who are looking for Learning Mentors to join their team on a long-term basis asap.
Your new role
Within this role, they are looking for supportive, resilient, and compassionate individuals to work within a school setting where you'll be joining a skilled and cohesive team. The role is to support children/young adults in their learning and behavioural needs, and you will play a massive role in their development and educational success. You will be responsible for assisting with co-ordinating resources, building rapport, encouraging engagement, supporting personal development, and managing behaviour. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working with children/young adults who would like to start or progress their career within a school setting!
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children/young adults, ideally in a small group or 1:1 setting
- You will need to be confident with behaviour management strategies and have previous experience with SEND
- You will need to be professional, resilient, and enthusiastic
