Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Pay Rate: £17 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a number of Mechanical Fitters for ongoing contract positions based in Burton-on-Trent working for a large rail engineering company.
Own transport is recommended due to the location.
The role of a Mechanical Fitter is to install mechanical systems onto locomotive rafts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components.
- Install and repair of hydraulic systems.
- Fault find and diagnostic investigation work.
- Engine knowledge.
- Overhaul of raft components.
- Understanding of schematic drawings.
- Training as and when required.
- Previous Rail/Automotive or Plant experience required.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 17:00
- Friday - 07:00 to 13:00
- Overtime is available.
