About The Role

Fixed Wire Service Manager - Ireland

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Wire Service Manager in Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of remedial engineers and to be the appointed Register of Electrical Contractors Ireland (RECI) Engineer representing phs Compliance.

You will also provide technical support to field-based engineering teams, commercial teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

:

  • Manage engineer's activity on site. Review productivity daily and action any issues promptly. Ensure all engineers are correctly using their PDA and submitting all reports and paperwork within the agreed SLA's.
  • Process engineer PDA timesheets weekly and verify on/off site times using tracking software.
  • Ensure engineers adhere to Health & Safety at Work Regulations and Health & Safety Policies
  • Carry out a minimum of two onsite 121 toolbox talks, H&S, Vehicle and Technical audits for field-based engineering teams, addressing areas of concern and providing training where required.
  • Provide a professional welcome to the business and monitor new starters during their probation period to evaluate their suitability for the role.
  • To undertake recruitment process ensuring all Phs Group process and criteria is adhered to.
  • Carry out first stage investigation, performance management and grievance procedures.

Person requirements:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of the services provided by the business.
  • A motivational leader who inspires teams to drive delivery and high performance.
  • The ability to make logical and well thought out decisions.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety and its importance in the workplace.
  • To be able to communicate effectively and confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications Required:

  • IOSH Managing Safely or willingness to achieve.
  • Any relevant industry qualifications.
  • RECI
  • Level 3 management qualification or willingness to work towards.

Essential requirements:

  • Holds a valid driving licence
  • Good computer literacy
  • The ability to prioritize workload effectively to ensure core tasks are delivered.

Minimum experience:

  • Experience managing a mobile workforce
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
