SALARY: £35,642 per annum pro rata + Excellent Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid role, working part from the office in Glasgow, Scotland (G40) and part from home

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

WORKING HOURS: 18.5 hours per week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Digital Learning Officer / e-Learning Content Creator with experience of developing digital and blended learning on a Virtual Learning Environment, working in a digital learning environment supporting individual learning, tutoring, teaching and training, and strong communication skills.

Working as the Digital Learning Officer / e-Learning Content Creator you will design digital and blended learning approaches for identified subject matter areas.

As the Digital Learning Officer / e-Learning Content Creator you will work closely with identified partners and subject matter experts to design and develop engaging digital learning content, supporting partners to the pilot of new pieces of content and the evaluation and refinement post-pilot to maximise engagement and impact.

DUTIES

Your duties as Digital Learning Officer / e-Learning Content Creator will include:

  • As a key part of the content development team, working with identified partners and subject matter experts to design and develop engaging digital learning content
  • Designing consistent and editable templates for learning that can be easily populated
  • Supporting the Digital Learning interns in learning and understanding the platform and any technical issues arising with content build and HMTL templates
  • Supporting with the pilot of new pieces of content and the evaluation and refinement post-pilot to maximise engagement and impact
  • Designing digital and blended learning approaches for identified subject matter areas
  • Designing assessment frameworks and activities to meet stakeholder needs
  • Evaluating piloted content and adapting as required to increase impact
  • Discussions and regular meetings with Project Managers and subject matter experts to identify desired content
  • Working with stakeholders and content development team to design learner journey
  • Creating storyboards of proposed digital/blended learning approach
  • Designing and delivering these learning interventions for the platform
  • Working to agreed deadlines according to partner and overall project need

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Experience of developing digital and blended learning on a Virtual Learning Environment
  • Experience of managing, integrating, and using Office365 applications and HTML
  • Experience of delivering learning and development interventions to learners
  • Proven experience of working in a digital learning environment, specifically in methods of facilitation, individual and group assessments, supporting individual learning, tutoring, teaching, and training
  • Relevant Learning and Development degree, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Membership of relevant professional body
  • Understanding of digital and blended learning approaches
  • Mentoring skills, and knowledge of mentoring and supporting others
  • Understanding of learners needs, able to use a range of delivery methods
  • Understanding of pedagogy, learning theory and behaviour change models
  • Ability to manage stakeholder needs
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts to develop learning outcomes for learners
  • Ability to research and develop knowledge on subjects to improve content and delivery methods
  • Able to work independently, using own initiative and managing own time on projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

  • Mentoring/"people" coaching of others in a learning environment
  • Experience of learning management systems design and software systems
  • E-learning authoring tool experience such as Brightspace of SCORM creation tools
  • Experience of working with various stakeholders
  • An understanding of the sport sector
