We're searching for a proficient Financial Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling financial transactions, maintaining financial records and preparing monthly financial reports.

Description

Join our clients welcoming finance team as an Assistant Accountant and play a crucial role in their financial operations. They are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing non-PO invoices, credit cards, and expenses in SAP, ensuring HMRC compliance.
  • Matching supplier invoices to PO and goods receipts.
  • Resolving supplier queries and maintaining accurate supplier account records.
  • Handling payment proposals, bank transfers, and urgent payment requests.
  • Managing daily bank postings and supporting cash flow forecasting.
  • Chasing overdue invoices and missing remittance advice.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations and supporting budgetary control.
  • Assisting with year-end audits and process improvements.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Early stages studier or keen to start studying ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
