About the Role: Product Design Teacher

As a Product Design Teacher in Wandsworth, you will teach alongside experienced colleagues in a large and friendly DT department that delivers Textiles, Graphics, and Product Design GCSEs and A Levels, as well as Food at KS4. This is an excellent opportunity to join a school committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for Design and Technology among students.

Key Responsibilities: Product Design Teacher

  • Teach General Design and Technology at KS3: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to inspire young learners.
  • Teach Resistant Materials/Product Design at KS4: Utilise your subject knowledge to teach specialized content effectively.
  • Teach Product Design A-Level: Prepare and deliver advanced-level courses, motivating students to achieve their best.
  • Motivate and Inspire Students: Foster a passion for Design and Technology, encouraging creativity and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work successfully as a member of a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative departmental culture.
  • Organisational and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong organisational abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.

The Ideal Candidate: Product Design Teacher

  • Hold a relevant first degree and be QTS /ECT qualified.
  • Have subject knowledge to teach general Design and Technology at KS3, resistant materials/Product Design at GCSE level.
  • Be able to motivate and inspire students to love Design and Technology.
  • Be committed to working successfully as a member of a team.
  • Possess very strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
