Position: Full-Time Design and Technology Teacher (Woodwork and RMPG)

Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Design and Technology Teacher with a focus on Woodwork and Resistant Materials Product Graphics (RMPG). The successful candidate will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Foster a creative and safe learning environment in the workshop.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress and development.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school team, including SEN specialists and support staff, to create holistic educational plans.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Inspire students to achieve their full potential and develop their practical and creative skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization in Design and Technology, with experience in teaching Woodwork and RMPG.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and/or ASD is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
