Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Design and Technology Teacher with a focus on Woodwork and Resistant Materials Product Graphics (RMPG). The successful candidate will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
- Foster a creative and safe learning environment in the workshop.
- Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the curriculum.
- Assess, record, and report on students' progress and development.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team, including SEN specialists and support staff, to create holistic educational plans.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Inspire students to achieve their full potential and develop their practical and creative skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialization in Design and Technology, with experience in teaching Woodwork and RMPG.
- Experience working with students with SEMH and/or ASD is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
