Job Description

We are thrilled to be working exclusively with one of the largest suppliers of specialist and technical textile solutions in Europe in recruiting for a number of sales and administrative roles in the East Midlands. On a permanent basis, we are recruiting for a Sales Administrator for their offices in Leicester.

Overview:

The Sales Administrator will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming orders, managing and organizing customer information, purchasing stock from suppliers and invoicing customers.

The position is based in Leicester. Occasional travel in UK or abroad to visit suppliers or customers in order to improve his business knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing customer orders via purchase orders, email and phone calls into Sage.
  • Maintaining the back-order report.
  • Communicating with customers providing regular updates regarding any delays to their open orders.
  • Guarantee a high service level both in communication and support to the customer and constantly trying to reduce the delivery lead time.
  • Maintaining customer database on Sage.
  • Checking orders and invoice data accuracy.
  • Updating customer pricelists.
  • Liaising with sister companies when ordering products.
  • Responding to customer enquiries including the tracking of parcels.
  • Staying up-to-date with the company's new products and features.
  • Answering incoming calls.
  • Managing filing systems.
  • Managing the sample room (sample cards & A4 samples).
  • Providing administrative support to Sales Managers.

Ideal experience

  • Proven work experience as Sales Administrator or Sales Support.
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent written and verbal English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Sage and good typing speed.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work to deadlines.
  • Problem solving skills.
