Project Coordinator- Door Suppliers

About the company:
My client are a door supplier and fitters on communal housing schemes. Options include fully glazed doors, solid panel doors, louvred doors, and doors with vision panels, Locking includes magnetic locks which work with access control systems, and multi-point locking which support panic hardware and conventional locking. Dual certified doors are also provided, which means that fire doors achieving EI60 can be provided with the same security rating as our non-fire doors.
They are seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator who is organised, proactive, driven and professional. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and safety of the installation of the door sets.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Onsite safety
- Complete and issue risk assessments and method statements ( RAMS)
- Coordinate/ Plan safe works on site for Door installers
- Ensure all Door installers have all correct fixings, straps and tools for every contract.
- Liaise with Hilti Tools
- Manage onsite Tools/safety equipment/ lifting equipment for Door installers to execute the works successfully.
- Van maintenance/repairs
- Contractor Portal Management
- Organise and meet site management via teams/ on site
Requirements:
- Understand their installation process and investigate/assign the most appropriate safety equipment to complete the works and safe access.
- Agree a lifting plan with Contractors when door sets are to be installed above Ground Floor (i.e. Level 1, 2, 3 etc).
- Understand what tools, fixings and equipment is needed complete Door installations.
- Attend Site based meetings (London) or Microsoft Teams to understand the Contract requirements.
- Communicate with Installation Managers on all things Site based.
- Manage all Contractor Site portals including reporting and uploading photos of doors installed.
- No previous IOSH Health & Safety accreditation required- can be guided through the IOSH course via the company
Potential overnight stays in London - costs covered by my client & a daily expense allowance.
