About the Role:
I am actively seeking a skilled Senior Structural Technician to join a busy, successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Weston-Super-Mare office. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to advance their career in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce General Arrangement and Detail Drawings for Steel, Masonry, Timber, and Reinforced Concrete structures.
- Ensure adherence to relevant British Standards and Eurocodes with a focus on Reinforced Concrete detailing.
- Work closely with the Associate Director and Drawing Office Manager to support project delivery.
- Delegate tasks to junior technicians and oversee the quality control of all drawings produced by the team.
- Provide mentorship to junior technicians, helping them enhance their technical skills and understanding of the construction process.
- Collaborate with the design team and assist in the development of Building Information Modelling (BIM) capabilities.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in building structures, with a strong focus on Reinforced Concrete detailing.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with BIM is advantageous.
- Experience in producing drawings for various structural materials, including Steel, Masonry, and Timber.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
