NJR Recruitment are partnered with a leading firm of Pension specialists offering a family orientated working environment. Over the years they have built up an excellent reputation for providing specialist SSAS pensions administration services. Our client now offers an excellent opportunity for a Group Services Team Leader to join their team. The role will entail leading a central and hybrid administration team ensuring high levels of customer service is provided within given SLA's whilst supporting both the SSAS operations teams and assisting with groupwide projects. Daily operations responsibility to manage and support the team so that business, departmental and individual objectives are achieved, whilst also ensuring company policies, governance and legislation needs are met.

Responsibilties consist of:

  • Team Leadership: Direct, manage, and support the Leicester administration team to deliver high-quality performance.
  • Motivation and Empowerment: Lead, motivate, and empower team members, promoting a culture that supports excellent customer outcomes.
  • Team Development: Foster a collaborative team ethos and morale, ensuring team engagement and the delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Collaboration: Work with peers to manage workload flexibly and achieve positive business outcomes.
  • Work Management: Monitor and manage team workflow and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to SLAs and internal deadlines.
  • Training and Development: Assist in overseeing the training and development of team members to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Support and Guidance: Seek support from the Head of Group Support Services for managing absences, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and team issues.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular team meetings, 1-2-1s, and performance reviews in line with company policies.
  • Compliance: Ensure team practices comply with compliance and legislative requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all customers and third parties.
  • Adherence to Policies: Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • MI Requirements: Ensure delivery of monthly/weekly/daily MI requirements and respond to ad hoc requests within set deadlines.
  • Project Contribution: Contribute to projects and deliver within set timescales.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report key risks to the Head of Group Risk. Client Relationship: Maintain and improve client relationships, handling complex and simple inquiries effectively.
  • Third-Party Engagement: Engage with third-party providers to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Health & Safety: Comply with Health & Safety guidelines.

Skills and Experienced required:

  • Previous line management experience (Desirable).
  • Ability to manage and oversee a team's workload (Desirable)
  • Technical expertise in all areas of administration.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, whilst meeting quality standards and deadlines.
  • Able to build strong working relationships with team members as well as internal and external stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with a flexible approach.
  • Conscientious with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of all Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Set high standards for quality and quantity and work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way.
  • Used to fast pace, regulated environments.
