Up to £55,000

Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week

OA Group are working exclusively on recruiting a Supply Chain Manager with a growing metal manufacturing business based in West Essex that operate within the automotive and aerospace sectors.

As a Supply Chain Manager, you would have responsibility for the complete supply chain process across both direct (manufacturing) and indirect (services) as well as ensuring the supply chain is maximised.

Key duties of a Supply Chain Manager

  • Working closely with Commercial and Production teams to ensure component product supply meets demand.
  • Production Planning
  • Issuing of Purchase Orders & cross checking delivers
  • Updating and managing ERP and MRP systems.
  • Procurement budget management and reporting to senior leadership teams.
  • Negotiation and management of key suppliers in the UK and abroad.

Ideal candidate will have worked as a Supply Chain Manager and also have sound knowledge of Planning & Purchasing. You should also be:

  • Able to use MRP & ERP systems
  • Degree level qualified in relevant are a such as business, finance or supply chain management.
  • Experienced in leading purchasing/supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Confident communicator and presenter.
  • A strong negotiator, able to achieve cost and lead time reductions.

A sound understanding of the automotive and aerospace sectors with knowledge of low-mid volume production supply chain requirements would also be of benefit.
