Seven Resourcing are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work with Hillingdon council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £161.98 (Paye) and £202.88 (Umbrella) per day for this role.
The role:
The London Borough of Hillingdon is looking for candidate with a strong Quantity Surveying background (if possible, working towards MRICS, MCIOB).
They will be working on the programme of capital works projects (including education, housing, and corporate buildings) and will need to be able to scrutinise the financial and contractional aspects of their allocated projects from inception to completion. Some local authority experience is an advantage but not essential. A broad background would be advantageous, i.e. a mix of professional, contracting and Local Authority.
They need to show experience in leading on the financial aspects of projects, cost control, estimating, contracts and contract administration. They will need adhere to agreed project timescales and be self-sufficient. Finally, they will be required to demonstrate their experience of progressing multiple programmes/projects through to completion.
Enthusiasm and a willingness to get things done are essential.

GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
Hours: 36 hours p/w.
