Teaching Assistant for a Charming Primary School in the Forest of Bowland

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Lovely Primary School, Forest of Bowland
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm/4:30pm (term time)
Daily Rate: £85 - £100
Start Date: September 2024

Are you passionate about education and the great outdoors? Ribble Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a delightful primary school nestled in the beautiful Forest of Bowland. This unique opportunity offers the chance to work in a small school setting with class sizes of up to 15 pupils, providing personalised and impactful support to young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the classroom with pupils aged 4 - 8 years, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and national curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Forest Lead Specialist during outdoor forest school sessions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging pupils to explore and learn through nature.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistance or related field is ideal.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and national curriculum.
  • Willingness to work with young children, providing nurturing and effective support.
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor education and the principles of forest schools.
  • Happy, friendly nature with a passion for supporting young learners.
  • Reliable transportation, as the location of the school is best accessed by driving.
