The Opportunity: Nurturing Early Years Growth
This is a fantastic full-time opportunity within a highly-regarded nursery setting in North Surrey. As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll be instrumental in delivering an engaging and stimulating Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. This long-term contract offers stability and has strong potential for permanency, allowing you to build lasting relationships with children and their families within a close-knit community. You'll contribute directly to creating a positive and inspiring start to every child's educational journey.
Your Role: Key Contributions to Child Development
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, your key contributions will include:
- Planning and leading creative, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework, tailored to children's individual needs and interests.
- Observing, assessing, and accurately recording children's development and progress, using these insights to inform future planning.
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels secure, valued, and encouraged to explore.
- Building strong, positive relationships with children, their parents/carers, and colleagues, fostering open communication.
- Acting as a key person for a group of children, taking responsibility for their well-being and development.
- Ensuring all safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met, prioritising the safety of all children.
What We Require: Essential Qualifications & Skills
To thrive in this nurturing role, you'll need:
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., Cache Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Children's Learning and Development) is essential.
- Proven experience working as a Nursery Practitioner within an early years setting.
- A strong, in-depth understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for early childhood development and a child-centred approach.
- A valid enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
