This expanding US law firm has an exciting and newly created opportunity for an Events Manager, this is a stand-alone role that will suit someone with strategic events experience who will work in a small BD & Marketing team in London.

The Events Manger will directly report into the Senior Events Manager based in the firm's New York headquarters and will be responsible for leading on all London and European internal and external events. There will be additional support from the NY and London BD/Marketing teams, however the role will be hands on and requires a flexible approach whilst attending and overseeing event logistics, on-site hospitality, audio-visual and other logistics.

Events Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full events cycle from initial creative design and pre-planning stages through to on-site execution
  • Conduct venue and vendor sourcing, building strong lasting relationships
  • Prepare event proposals and manage budgets ensuring that expenses are within the approved budget; process all related payments and invoices
  • Liaise with Partners, and European Marketing and Business Development team as needed regarding invitations and mailing lists, developing a thorough understanding of the internal and external clients
  • Ensure that client contact information and invitee lists for events are stored responsibly on CRM database
  • Collaborate with the Graphics Team to create email invitations; oversee design and content
  • Suggest, implement and share best practices for events with Events Team
  • Manage the production of event materials
  • Work with ticketing and sporting agencies to organise and executive client events at various sporting events
  • Coordinate promotional items and client gifts with relevant teams
  • Maintain a detailed electronic filing system for all events using iManage

Events Manager Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of events experience, ideally a law firm, currently either at Specialist or Manager level
  • First class communication, interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confident knowledge of iManage and Microsoft Office software, ie, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with InterAction and marketing-related databases preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and planning skills
