Reed Financial Services are currently seeking an Authorisations & Approvals Administrator to join a Compliance Department at the head office in Horsham. This role is integral to processing applications from Appointed Representative firms and their personnel in line with the company's procedures and FCA rules. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality support and ensuring good outcomes in all areas of the business.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Promote and work towards the policy of delivering Client Best Interest outcomes.
  • Adhere to the suite of policy and procedures, with distinct regard and compliance with the Conflict of Interest Policy and Inducement and Incentive policy.
  • Take responsibility for own performance and identify personal development areas.
  • Follow and adhere to the working Authorisations & Approvals procedures as laid down by the manager.
  • Process applications through to appointment of Appointed Representative Firms, their Registered Individuals, and Introducers.
  • Review any adverse information identified during the application process and escalate these to the manager.
  • Submit applications to the FCA for regulatory approval and liaise with the FCA for non-standard applications.
  • Process resignations in accordance with the Authorisations & Approvals procedures.
  • Assist in collating Management Information.
  • Scan, collate, organise, and store all documentation with appropriate labelling.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the manager, which may be necessary to fulfil the role.
  • Ensure adherence at all times to the principles of data protection and to the company policies on such matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a business administration role, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient IT Skills to include experience of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent investigative skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • A confident individual possessing a sound systematic and methodical approach to work.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • A basic knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Industry.
