Let's get straight to it.
There's a small, no-nonsense manufacturing business in Rotherham that needs help. The finance function is lean. So, you'll be parachuted in (for 2 days a week) to take a bit of that pressure off.
You won't be building spreadsheets for the CEO. You won't be forecasting.
This is solid, transactional finance admin. Purchase invoices, sales invoices, reconciliations, and keeping things tidy in Sage 50. Which, by the way, you'll need to know already, this isn't the time or place to be Googling how to post a credit note.
You'll be helping keep the wheels turning while the team adjusts. There'll be queries to handle, statements to send out, and files to keep in some sort of order. You'll be in the office, so if you're local, that helps.
What's in it for you?
Well, it's part-time. It's short-term. But it's also low-drama, with a friendly, supportive team who just need someone reliable to muck in for a couple of months. It might suit a retired finance pro who doesn't want the hassle of a full-time job, or someone juggling other things but still wanting to keep their hand in.
- You'll need to tick these boxes:
- You know Sage 50 (not just heard of it - used it regularly)
- You've done sales and purchase ledger admin before
- You can handle Excel without it handling you
- You're organised, accurate, and unflappable
- You're happy being on-site (2 days per week - no remote working)
If you've worked in manufacturing or an SME before, even better. But it's not a dealbreaker.
