Group Reporting Manager

Our client is a major healthcare business operating throughout the UK and headquartered in London. This role is based at the Head Office within the Group Finance department, specifically in the Group Financial Reporting team. The department's mission is to provide first-class financial reporting and analysis to support the needs of the business and the wider group in a complex and evolving market. With a diverse range of stakeholders, the Group must ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Overview

  • Lead the Group Reporting team of 3 accountants.
  • Ensure success through strong accounting, financial reporting, modelling, FP&A skills, and technical acumen combined with commercial instinct and experience with month and year-end reporting and stakeholder management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver month-end head office processes within prescribed timelines.
  • Prepare and develop two monthly reporting packs for Group management and the parent, including commentary.
  • Prepare the Annual Budget submission and quarterly reforecasting submissions to the parent.
  • Oversee production of monthly and quarterly reporting for external parties.
  • Manage biweekly cashflow and liquidity forecasting.
  • Fulfil Investor relations requirements of the parent.
  • Support, motivate, develop, and manage the team.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks and manage reporting requirements to ONS.

Year-End and Quarterly Review Reporting

  • Prepare and review annual statutory financial statements for Group and subsidiaries.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and quarterly reviews from planning to completion.
  • Prepare the year-end Consolidation and draft accounting position papers.
  • Lead finance interaction with the legal team for claims and leasing issues.
  • Liaise with the IT department to review project costs and capitalization.
  • Develop and monitor Group financial policies and controls.
  • Manage bank accounts of Joint Ventures.
  • Implement new accounting systems and continuous system improvements.

The Successful Candidate

  • Strong accounting, financial reporting, modelling, FP&A skills, and technical acumen.
  • Proven commercial instinct and experience with month and year-end reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities.
