Technical Support Analyst

We're looking for a dynamic Technical Support Analyst to join an established service desk, who will relish the opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-growing environment. Happy to travel between Bristol & Newport weekly by car? If so, this could be the one for you.

What experience you'll need

  • Proven experience working on a customer facing service desk.
  • Advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows OS, printing, Windows services, and networking principles (DHCP/routing/wireless 802.11).
  • Customer first' attitude and a desire to deliver outstanding support to their customers, with a smile :)

Nice to have

  • Educated to degree level (BSc, BA) in an IT related discipline.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience using Zendesk (or similar) multi-channel customer service support tool.
  • Supporting mobile and static devices using industry standard EMM / MDM tools.
  • Strong communicator, with clear written and oral communication skills.

What you'll be doing

The primary focus is proactively managing customers' satisfaction to ensuring their systems are operating BAU. You'll be the forefront of customer support for their suite of products, being professional and friendly with a can-do attitude with a willingness to go that extra mile. This will be a hands-on role as the team grows, offering great opportunity for progression within the business. You'll ensure that high levels of customer support are delivered at all times, managing all escalations with customers effectively liaising with other teams within the business. Assist in developing and improving processes of their service desk.

***The role is mainly office based in both Bristol & Newport, although there will be occasional visits to client sites. As part of the support team, you will also be active in the on-call rota offering out-of-hours telephone support to their customers. They generally run a shift pattern weekly to cover 8 AM-8 PM, 7 days per week.***
