IT Delivery Lead (Contractor) - Energy Sector

Location: Reading (Hybrid 1/2 days a week ideally)
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Rate:£650-£713 per day

We are seeking an experienced IT Delivery Lead to join our client's dynamic team on a contractual basis. This role is critical to the successful delivery of our IT projects within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading IT delivery initiatives and managing third-party vendors effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within the energy sector.
- Extensive 3rd party management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring they deliver quality services and meet contractual obligations.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and resources, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience as an IT Delivery Lead or Project Manager within the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of IT project management methodologies and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing third-party vendors and contracts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project delivery.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are a plus.
