Urgent Requirement – Facilities Supervisor – Birmingham – Temporary to Ongoing
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Facilities Supervisor for a large organisation based in the Birmingham area. The position will be 3 months Temporary with the role ongoing. The hours will be 37 per week, 5 days per week.
The role will involve:
- Supervise a team of facilities assistants by managing and scheduling the day-to-day tasks
- To ensure that regular briefings are held with staff through one to one and team meetings
- Ensure that staff carry out front line repairs such as toilet blockages, floods, water leaks, heating system and lighting failures in a safe and compliant manner
- Schedule and delegate tasks and activities to the team
- Carry out and maintain appropriate documentation and records of regular building checks, weekly fire tests, environmental and health and safety requirements
- Deal with all contractors that are scheduled to attend site by ensuring that the contractor management processes are followed through carrying out on site contractor inductions, seeking approval for access and signing in/out keys and passes
- Engage with teams through daily update meetings to share building information or incidents that may have occurred prior to shifts starting and any high-risk jobs that may be taking place by contract partners
- Complete building inspections that include health and safety checks i.e., fire exits, service yards and report accordingly
- Proactively ensure the service yards and Loading bays are manned
- Support emergencies and incidents through quick response
- Delegate jobs, tasks and activities by priority to ensure that shifts, breaks and annual leave is supported through effective planning and scheduling
- To support, assist and deputise for the assistant facilities managers as and when required
You will also be immediately available for work (1 week notice period at maximum). The rate for this role will be dependent on experience.
