Locum Cervical Smear Screener (HPV Positive - Thin Prep)
Location: Southeastern England
Pay rates: Negotiable

Working Hours: Usual 08:00 - 04:00 or 09:00 - 05:00 or 09:30 - 05:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen cervical smears that have tested HPV positive using Thin Prep technology.
- Ensure accurate and efficient screening of samples in adherence to established protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of screening outcomes and findings.
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and clinicians to ensure timely reporting and follow-up of results.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection regulations in handling patient information.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in screening cervical smears that tested HPV positive, specifically with Thin Prep technology.
- Familiarity with cytology reporting systems and diagnostic criteria.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety practices in a laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
- Certification or training in cytology or related fields.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
