gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Electrical Design Engineer to work at their facility based near Burton-on-Trent
Performance Objectives
- Design and develop Electrical systems for industrial and commercial premises.
- Design calculations including selection of equipment, lighting, cable sizing, maximum demand, containment, lifecycle etc.
- Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employer's requirement, specifications, and standards etc.
- Technical support for the project teams
- Stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards and merging technologies.
- Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Co-ordinate with clients, architects, and project teams
Person Specification
- HND in Electrical Engineering
- Proficient using CAD/Revit
- Proficient in Trimble design software
- Lighting design
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of regulations and building codes.
- Problem Solving
- Analytical thinking
- Communication
- Collaborative working
- Professional membership would be advantageous.
