Social Worker – Levels 1, 2 & 3 (Children's Services)

Location: South West of England

Hours: Full-Time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Position: Permanent

Myn is recruiting for Social Workers at all levels (Level 1/ASYE, Level 2, and Level 3) to join our long-term partner's Children's Services in the South West of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and families, safeguarding their welfare and delivering essential statutory services.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct assessments of children's needs and create effective, timely care plans in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation.
  • Work directly with children, young people, and families, supporting them with advice, guidance, and interventions to promote their welfare and independence.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, education, and social care professionals, to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Safeguard children by managing Child Protection, Child in Need, and Children in Care cases, ensuring the appropriate level of support is provided.
  • Prepare and present reports for courts and meetings, and attend legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 1 (ASYE): Social Work Degree or equivalent (e.g. CQSW, DipSW), registered with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Level 2: At least one year of post-qualification experience in a Local Authority, with experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, or Children in Care cases.
  • Level 3: Significant post-qualification experience as a Level 2 Social Worker, with the ability to mentor less experienced staff.
  • Experience handling complex cases and court proceedings.Strong understanding of relevant statutory legislation, including Child Protection procedures, permanency planning, and early help.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and collaborate effectively across agencies.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to meet service requirements.
