Credit Controller - Growing Organisation - near Sevenoaks, Kent / Hybrid Working - £28k-£32k (DoE) + benefits

  • Would suit someone with credit control, billing or accounts assistant experience (c1-2 years)
  • Remote working up to 4 days per week with 1+ days in the office near Sevenoaks (full time in the office for the first month)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Confident communicator with proactive problem solving skills
  • Good MS Office skills - Excel and Word skills needed
  • £28k-£30k (dependent on experience)

We have a great opportunity available for a Credit Controller to join an independent company based near Sevenoaks, Kent.

Suitable candidates will have relevant credit control, billing or accounts support experience, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, good numeracy skills, the ability to answer complex queries and comfortably chase debt.

Key responsibilities as the Credit Controller will include:

  • In depth reconciliation of debtor accounts
  • Reporting and tracking of collection process to the Credit Manager
  • Dealing with a high level of complex queries - escalating when necessary
  • Raising credit note requests
  • General administration and assisting the team with account reconciliations if required

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar credit control, billing or accounts role - approximately 1-2 years+
  • Confident debt chasing capabilities
  • Proficiency in answering complex queries
  • Experience of billing
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise clearly and effectively at all levels
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Quick to learn new systems and processes
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good eye for reconciliation and analysis of large groups of data
  • Ability to work efficiently and to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • Proactive team player
