Salary: £40K - 46K DOE

Medway

Monday- Friday 9am- 5:30pm (hours can be flexible)

Adecco are partnered with a successful Property Management Consultancy to recruit for an exciting role of Operations Manager based in Mid-Kent!! The role offers outstanding benefits and the opportunity to develop and train as part of the role.

As Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Building Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the building. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing operational aspects such as cleaning and security contracts, maintenance programs, and supporting fitting works. While experience in building management and maintenance is desirable, we welcome applicants with a strong aptitude for operational management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise cleaning and security contracts, maintaining high performance standards and conducting regular evaluations.
  • Manage on-site engineers and contractors, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee health and safety requirements, including routine fire drills, emergency procedures training, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents to minimise public liability claims and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Lead and supervise the Maintenance Team, optimising in-house resources and reducing labour costs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with retailers, addressing technical queries and facilitating shop fits for new and existing tenants.
  • Coordinate commercialisation traders on the mall, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and mall policies.
  • Support environmental initiatives, monitor energy consumption, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as Duty Manager in the absence of the Centre Manager, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Attend off-site meetings and conferences as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in building management or building maintenance is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
