LabVIEW Software Engineer

Position: LabVIEW Engineer

Salary: up to £45,000

Location of Office: Chesterfield

Location of Work: Flexible Hybrid Work from Home

The role: Our client is growing their team and are now looking for a LabVIEW Engineer to join their engineering team. The successful LabVIEW engineer will be joining an established, multidiscipline team and have the chance to work on a range of new and exciting bespoke projects. The successful candidate will be tasked with taking engineering requirements from customers and designing bespoke software solutions that are able to be delivered on time and within budget. This will involve interfacing with both commercial off the shelf (COTS) components as well as custom designed interfaces, LabVIEW and other software programs. The role will involve the creation of system concepts, bespoke software and fault finding.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • National Instruments LabVIEW
  • Experience with automated test, measurement and control
  • System design and specification
  • Creation of system drawings and diagrams
  • System testing and fault finding.

In this role you can expect to work closely with likeminded engineers through the full design life cycle and report directly to the design manager. You can expect plenty of variety in your day-to-day tasks and this role will best suit an engineer who enjoys the challenge of solving problems and creating clean, reliable software solutions using LabVIEW.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • GPIB, RS232, TCP/IP, LXI
  • C/C++ programming
  • Experience in the aerospace or defence industry

Their office is based in the Chesterfield area, and they offer very flexible hybrid work from home making the role easily commutable via the likes of Sheffield, Nottingham, Mansfield, Barnsley, Worksop and more.
