Technical Assembly Engineer

We are currently seeking a motivated Technical Assembly Engineer to join client based in Sandbach. This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of automated gates and barriers as well as building electrical control panels.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components to manufacture automated gates and barriers.
  • Construct electrical control panels based on schematics.
  • Commission and troubleshoot assembled automatic gates and barriers both in-house and in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the line manager and provide regular updates on task status.

Requirements:

  • BTEC or equivalent Level Electrical and/or Mechanical Qualification.
  • Minimum GCSE level or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong collaboration skills, and a desire to continuously improve.
  • Reliable team player committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable:

  • HNC/HND or similar qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Physical Access Control products.

The role primarily takes place in our client's workshop/office in Sandbach, with occasional travel to customer sites in the UK.
