The Role

The Global Workplace Service Line team are responsible for endpoint operational activities, support for technical services, and architectural planning for laptops/desktops environments, mobile devices, and other office applications. The role is central to delivering global follow-the-sun (FTS) services to the CMA-CGM Group.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical and comprehensive understanding of End User Computing. Expertise in managing Software Deployment, Patch Management through both SCCM & Intune, and Desktop Security services. The role demands expert integration, diagnostic and fault-finding knowledge/skills and a broad range of IT knowledge/experience in end-user computing and modern device mobility configuration and governance.

Your responsibilities as our IT Endpoint Systems Engineer will include:

Administer Azure, Intune Endpoint Manager & Office 365 portals for software distribution, patch management, and endpoint compliance.

  • Administer SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager) for software distribution, patch management, and endpoint compliance.
  • Assist with transition from On Premise device management to Cloud solutions
  • Support and troubleshoot Active Directory, DHCP, DNS & Group Policy configurations
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing endpoint-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in endpoint management to enhance the organisation's infrastructure and security posture.
  • Occasional support and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2019 & 2022 environments, hosting on premise solutions
  • Possible exposure to Virtual Technologies – AVD, Windows 365
  • Working within a team dedicated to support on a variety of operating systems and hardware.
  • Dealing with 3rd line technical incidents and requests from our customers.
  • Escalation from 1st and 2nd Line Engineers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to endpoint systems management.
  • Self-audit all work and ensure it meets all applicable technical and operational quality standards.
  • Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and enquiries.
  • Complete work to agreed time scales.

To become our IT Endpoint Systems Engineer, you'll need:

  • Knowledge of Azure, Intune Endpoint Manager & Office 365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint configuration Manager
  • Hands-on experience with device provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
  • Understanding of networking principles, security protocols, and endpoint security best practices.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and to manage time, multiple tasks, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team or alone.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
