About the Role

Base Location: Flexible UK | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots within the Southern Electric licence area.

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Workforce Planning Delivery and Performance Lead, holds a key role in identifying and delivering the future skilled workforce into our Distribution business in order to meet future demand. This role's primary focus is to drive, manage and support the development of the early career pipeline learners through their respective programmes, ensuring a positive learning experience and providing the building blocks for their future careers. This will include the management and support of our Learner Team Managers and Technical Assessors who ensure the technical competence, progression and pastoral support of our learners.

  • Ensuring the team has processes and procedures which ensure an optimum level of performance.
  • Embedding performance metrics that are measurable and value adding.
  • Meeting the future workforce needs of the Distribution business and contributing to the delivery of the resourcing plan for our current price control period and beyond.
  • Working in close partnership with our internal stakeholders whilst ensuring that we meet and, where appropriate, exceed the expectations set by our external stakeholders such as OFSTED and OFGEM.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity which provides the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key role in developing the future talent for our Distribution business by being the conscience of the Workforce Planning team, objectively measuring performance and ensuring meaningful management information is developed and shared effectively with key stakeholders and supports the drive for continuous improvement.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience in people and/or performance management with a proven track record in delivering in a fast-moving multi priority role.
  • A passion for developing and supporting people to maximise their potential.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (including PowerBI, Power Apps).
  • A proven ability to influence others outside of your own sphere of responsibility.
  • The ability to secure commitment on actions from stakeholders.
  • Strong personal resilience and a flexibility to meet the support and safeguarding requirements of our learning community.
