We are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our supportive and innovative team in West London. Our Motor Vehicle Section boasts fully equipped, recently refurbished workshops with the latest technology, including hybrid/electric vehicle facilities, reflecting the growing areas of our course provision. Our primary learners are aged 16-19, engaged in City and Guilds and IMI qualifications.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in Motor Vehicle studies to students aged 16-19.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and maximise student success.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning goals.
- Stay updated with the latest industry practices in Motor Vehicle technology and integrate this knowledge into your teaching.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure course content remains current and relevant.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student learning experiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle/Automotive.
- Experience gained within the Motor Vehicle industry.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for educating young learners in the field of Motor Vehicle.
- Ability to engage and motivate students aged 16-19.
- Previous experience in teaching, training, or assessing is preferable but not mandatory.
- Willingness to pursue a teaching qualification if not already obtained (support provided by the College).
