Classroom Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate classroom teacher to work within a lovely Warrington Primary School. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment, and will possess the skills to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.

This role will be full time 8.30am - 3.30pm, 5 days per week starting in September and will be from £110 per day depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of all students
  • Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student growth and development
  • Manage classroom behavior and create a positive and respectful classroom climate
  • Assess and monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider school community

Qualifications

  • QTS
  • Proven experience as a classroom teacher, ideally in a diverse and inclusive setting
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Familiarity with diverse teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learning needs
  • Understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles

Day-to-Day

  • Engage students in meaningful and inclusive learning activities
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver co-curricular activities
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student well-being and academic progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice
