Speech and Language Teaching Assistant | Croydon, CR0 | Daily Pay: £94-£105 per day | Full-time | Start Date: September 2024
Our partner school is eagerly seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, or a passionate recent Graduate, to provide 1:1 and classroom support to primary school students. This great opportunity is available to start in September 2024, working long-term for the remainder of the academic year, and the potential of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN
- Supporting children with phonics and speech development
- Leading individual and small group intervention sessions
- Liaising with the SENCO and class teacher about the pupil's progress, keeping accurate reports regularly
- Supporting the class teacher with managing class behaviour
The school are seeking candidates who:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification or a degree.
- Has previous experience working in a primary school environment.
- Speech and Language experience or training is desirable.
- Experience working and supporting students with SEN.
- Are able to quickly build relationships with students and staff.
- Is patient and nurturing with anyone they work with.
