Caretaker
- Hourly Rate: £13.15 PAYE

We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to provide essential services across our estates in the Maidstone area. The role is crucial in maintaining the quality of the environment within our estates and communal areas, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and safety for residents and the public.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain estate and communal areas to a high-quality cleaning standard.
- Attend to cleaning tasks according to defined schedules and frequencies for each estate.
- Report emergencies, communal repairs, and any incidents of vandalism.
- Keep internal and external areas free of graffiti and manage bin areas, including disinfecting and deep cleaning.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, maintaining good communication with all teams and departments.
- Identify hazards, complete risk assessments daily, and take necessary remedial action.
- Grit estate access paths and roads in anticipation of snow/ice.
- Comply with COSHH regulations applicable to cleaning materials used.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, or a similar role.
- Excellent customer service skills with a courteous and polite manner.
- Ability to identify necessary repairs within blocks and report them effectively.
- Understanding of Health and Safety principles.
- Knowledge of COSHH Regulations is ideal.
- Strong communication skills and a focus on customer service.
