What does our purchasing team do?

Our purchasing department plays a vital role in ensuring the success of the Randox Group, through sourcing and acquiring of a variety of goods required to ensure a positive outcome to our clients and customers. They do this by undertaking efficient acquisition and procurement of goods and services. The purchasing team are in charge of the procurement for our companies in the UK, Ireland and across the globe.

Location: Randox Laboratories, 55 Diamond Road, Crumlin, BT29 4QY.

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 4x9Hrs, with half day Friday (4hrs). (Department capacity pending)

What does the Supplier Quality Administrator role involve?

In this role you will be required to help maintain the day-to-day operations within the purchasing department, by monitoring supplier performance in terms of on time delivery and quality in accordance with SOPs and departmental requirements. Other key duties of the role include:

  • Provide administrative support to the supplier quality function.
  • Support supplier selection, assessments and approval of suppliers including providing support in terms of supplier audits.
  • Work directly withsuppliers andinternal stakeholders tohelpachieve supplier performance goalsandtoassurequalityofsourcedcomponents andpartsacrossallcategoriesandsuppliers.
  • Monitor supplier delivery Performance, ensuringailincoming goodsaredelivered ontime, includingthehandlingandmonitoringofsupplierandshippingcomplaints onissuesofqualityand delivery.
  • Thegeneration,followupandreviewofsuppliercorrectiveactionrequests
  • Assurefulfilmentofqualityassurancedeliverablesinnewproductdevelopmentandtransfers
  • Contributetothesuppliercategorystrategyandsecurethatthepreferredsuppliersfulfilset requirements
  • initiateandsteersupplierqualityimprovements.
  • Continuously contributeincrossfunctionalteamstoimprovequality,deliveryandcostthrough the application ofcontinuous improvements andlean philosophy
  • Themaintenanceofaccuraterecords
  • Providesupportduringinternalandexternalaudits
  • Generatesupplieranddepartmentalperformancereports.

On the job training will be provided on our processes.

  • Experienceintheuseofacomputerised purchasing system such as Sage
