We are inviting passionate individuals to apply for the SEN Teaching Assistant role at our well-established SEN school. This is an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the learning and development of pupils with Autism and other special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages pupil participation and independence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people with Autism.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Child and Adult DBS certificate.
