2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for customer service? Our client, a leading organisation in the healthcare industry, is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Technician to join their team. As the 'visible face' of the IT department, you will provide first-class support to end-users, ensuring that their technical issues are promptly resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and customer-focused technical support to staff based within primary care, the community, and the acute trust.
  • Take ownership of support calls, ensuring they are resolved within departmental targets.
  • Compile solutions to challenging problems, ensuring end-users are satisfied.
  • Ensure the operationality of systems relied upon by clinical staff for the provision of good patient care.
  • Manage your own workload and take responsibility for your actions.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a dynamic customer service environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL best practises.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults accurately.
  • Experience in ghosting and deploying desktop images.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of staff.

It is essential that you hold a degree or equivalent qualification and have formal qualifications in an ICT subject. Additional certifications such as Microsoft MCPIT and CompTIA Certified would be desirable.
