Your role within the organisation will be to provide first line management to

Process Engineers

, providing advice, guidance and coaching to enable their development and to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing processes.

The Role:

  • Maintain excellent product knowledge and understanding of shop floor processes
  • Undertake trials, installation and commissioning of new equipment and/or processes as advised by the Technical Manager.
  • Participate in the writing/updating of process procedures to ensure that procedures are current and that all process instructions are fully documented.
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement activities and collaborate with all departments to maintain and improve quality and efficiency as required
  • Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the process efficiency in your area of responsibility  Control all overtime within area of responsibility.
  • Liaise with the Technical Manager daily and advise of any potential issues which could effect performance and/or KPIs.
  • Submit statistical reports, as required, detailing departmental performance.
  • As Senior Process Engineer and as part of your management responsibilities, you will be responsible for departmental and individual reviews and disciplinary procedures.

What you will bring to the Team:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Process Engineering role.
  • Ideally, you will offer experience of managing a team (or have the drive and abilities to do so).
  • Demonstrative investigative ability to identify and conclude specific areas of concern, identifying route cause and offering potential solutions.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, 5S, statistical process control, 8D methodology
  • Experience in auditing manufacturing processes and documentation
  • Demonstrative understanding of the financial implications of product and process changes
