Psychology Graduate - Special Needs Support Assistant (Primary aged pupils)

Full-time - Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm

About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for Psychology graduates who are eager to apply their knowledge in a hands-on role, working closely with children who require additional support in their learning. As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in helping young learners overcome challenges, developing their confidence and promoting positive progress in their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to primary-aged children with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or social and emotional difficulties.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and specific learning strategies designed to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Work one-on-one or with small groups of children, fostering an encouraging and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver effective, child-centred support.
- Help children build essential skills such as communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
What We're Looking For:
- A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A passion for working with children and making a positive impact in their lives.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and an empathetic approach to supporting children with a range of needs.
- A desire to develop practical experience in the field of special educational needs and child development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to create a nurturing environment.

Requirements
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one (a new one costs £46 and we will pay you back the £46 once you have worked 20 days for us)
- Have the right to work in the UK
