Hours Required: Generally, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. When boys are home from boarding school, work Saturday and take a different day off during the week. Occasional weekend work if guests are visiting.
Driver: Car driver with own car
Live-in Accommodation: Studio flat/annex with separate kitchen and bathroom. Fully furnished to a high standard.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-in Housekeeper for a lovely family in Oxshott, Surrey. The family resides in a luxurious 4-floor, 6-bedroom home with an indoor pool. The property features many high-end finishes that require meticulous care and the use of appropriate cleaning products.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive care and cleaning of the home to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing
- Cleaning the kitchen after dinner
- Watering the garden in summer
- Monitoring the house and reporting issues to the family and/or maintenance manager
- Running errands such as picking up food and dry cleaning
- Staying in residence when the family is away for security purposes
Ideal Candidate
This role is perfect for an experienced Housekeeper accustomed to working in luxury homes. The high-end nature of the house requires regular inspections to maintain a high standard. You should be someone who can follow instructions but also think on your feet. It is important to be adaptable to the family's schedule, recognising that there is less work while the boys are away but more when they are home. You should be willing to help with urgent tasks and respect the family's private time.
