Reward Manager

My client is a well-known, award-winning organisation within South Wales who is looking for an experienced, hard-working and proactive Reward Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Reward, you will be contributing to the delivery of the reward strategy and leading on the implementation of this to enable the delivery of the wider people strategy.

Your new role
Joining a collaborative team you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, managing and delivering the annual reward plan to include benefit renewals, gender pay gap analysis, annual salary reviews and salary benchmarking.
  • Work closely with the people services team to ensure all reward policies are in place, documented and delivered with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Establish communication and engagement plans in conjunction with internal communication teams to ensure colleagues have an understanding of and engage with the reward offering.
  • Review and develop recommendations and improvements to the reward policy, process and offering to ensure it remains relevant and delivers the reward and people strategies, gaining approval where needed.
  • Lead the requirements of the annual renewal of insured benefits, working with procurement and finance to ensure suppliers are in place.
  • Manage the relationships with the advisors and benefit suppliers (third-parties) in line with the organisation's supplier management framework.
  • Support the people team and wider business with reward-related advice and guidance
  • Accountable for the consistent application of role evaluations for both new and existing roles throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of remuneration by maintaining an up-to-date understanding of reward legislation, HMRC guidance and best practice throughout the industry.
  • Network with reward colleagues within the industry to share best practices.

What you'll need to succeed: Experience and Competencies

  • Previous experience working in a senior capacity in reward with specific experience of design and implementation of reward schemes
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience of management of pay and benefit related activities
  • Experience of working with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience of presenting proposals and influencing senior leaders
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely
  • Capable of thinking strategically and providing pragmatic advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
