We have a fixed-term Production Planner role available at TATA Steel in Corby. This role is ideal for someone with effective planning experience and a desire to be part of an exciting development project.
Role: Production Planner
Location: TATA Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA
Rate: £17.58 per hour (Band E, £32,000)
Contract length: 6 months initially (with the potential to extend or become permanent)
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri, 07:30-16:30 (one-hour unpaid lunch)
(Initially 100% office-based with potential for hybrid working after training)
Responsibilities:
- Liaising daily with Production Managers via phone and email
- Assisting in the planning of a new production line and offering improvement suggestions
- Supporting plant units with a range of planning activities
- Maintaining and improving existing planning and scheduling systems
- Being the single point of contact for planning and scheduling enquiries
- Producing timely reports as requested
- Using MS Excel at an intermediate level, including formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
- Communicating clearly and efficiently with both internal and external contacts
- Resolving any queries raised
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Supply Chain/Planner/Scheduler role
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong IT literacy, particularly MS Office and Excel
- Familiarity with in-house IT systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confident telephone manner and interpersonal skills
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience using SAP
- Driving license and use of a car
