A leading Lloyd's Syndicate is looking for 2 Internal Control Specialists on a 6-month day rate contract.
The role involves maintaining the Internal Control Framework across the Group, including the accuracy of controls maintained on the control platform, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. The role holder monitors key financial processes and wider risks and controls.
The primary responsibility is to ensure annual SOX compliance, working as part of the Internal Control team to manage the SOX program, including planning, testing, remediation, and reporting. The role holder also participates in special reviews, change initiatives, and shares core responsibilities such as system and control management and regular reporting.
Duties Include:
- Develop and uphold a strong control environment through maintaining up to date process and control documentation
- Support management in the identification and management of key risks
- Conduct annual SOX testing in line with Group methodology to provide assurance over financial reporting
- Manage the control remediation process for related control gaps/ deficiencies
It is essential that applicants are Qualified Accountants, have an Internal Audit OR Risk background and have Insurance Industry experience. You will also need a strong understanding of SOX and a solid grasp of Risk Management Principles.
This role is offered on an initial 6-month contract at a rate of £500 per day inside of IR35.
