Role Overview:

As a Senior Sales Manager your primary role will be to oversee and nurture relationships with their key clients driving the growth and profitability of these accounts. You will be a sales professional with a proven track record of expanding key accounts. In addition to managing these accounts, you will also lead a team of direct reports, guiding their growth and development. Collaboration with other key stakeholders within the organisation to execute projects related to key accounts is also a critical aspect of this role.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop into the Head of Key Accounts in a timeline that is right for their development.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Acumen:

  • Analyse market and competitor actively to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Develop pricing strategies and proposals that maximize profitability and market share.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to meet evolving market conditions.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to the Sales Director, identifying achievements as well as areas for development.

Key Account Management:

  • Grow and cultivate relationships with their most important clients.
  • Manage all commercial elements of the accounts including costing, rebates and growth strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new product adoption.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, needs, and concerns.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, providing guidance and support in achieving their goals.
  • Set clear performance expectations and regularly assess team members' progress.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

Project Collaboration:

  • Develop relevant new product strategies for each key customer and lead in the development of the private label product range.

  • Own the development of Feel Amazing (one of the groups own brands) which is currently sold into ASDA, Well Pharmacy and Cohens.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute key projects related to key accounts.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting client expectations and deadlines.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to align project objectives.

Key Candidate Attributes:

  • Proven track record of successful key account management and growth.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel & Microsoft suite.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges and find solutions
